Tender description

Newcastle City Council have received a grant from the DfT to extend the Cooperative Intelligent Transport System (C-ITS) deployed as part of the EU funded Compass4D project on to the B1318 Great North Road between its junction with Brunton Lane and the junction with Forsyth Road (referred to as the Gosforth corridor). Full details of the Compass4D Project are available at http://www.compass4d.eu/ As part of this project there is a requirement to equip all of the signalised controls on the Gosforth corridor with Road Side Units (RSUs) to enable information to be passed to equipped vehicles. This procurement includes all elements that will need to be installed at traffic signal controllers and traffic signal heads including telecommunications elements, hardware, software and firmware. This tender does not include any of the vehicle mounted equipment required for the project.
