Purchase of One Self Propelled Chipping Spreader

Tender description

Tenders are invited for the supply and delivery to the Machinery Yard, Castlebar, of one complete self propelled 4 wheel drive chipping spreader mounted on a two axle chassis with cab and with all ancillary equipment. The chipping spreader shall be single person operated and shall comply with the relevant requirements of the Road Traffic Acts, 1961 to 2011, and Regulations made under these Acts, including the Road Traffic (Lighting of Vehicles) Regulation, 1963 to 2014, and the Road Traffic (Construction, Equipment and Use of Vehicles) Regulations, 1963 to 2014. The chipping spreader shall be capable of being rapidly expanded and retracted both sides by means of hydraulic or pneumatic rams which shall be capable of supporting the extensions. It shall expand up to 4.1m. The rear hopper shall have a minimum capacity of 3 metres cubed and shall have hydraulically operated folding type sides. The front hopper shall be 3 metres cubed and shall be comprised of two extending hoppers to give the required spreading width.
