Infrastructure Level 3 Support

Tender description

This Request for Tender (RFT) invites suitably experienced organisations to provide support and development for the Cork Institute of Technology’s [CIT] Virtualisation/Network Infrastructure and Microsoft core services. The primary goal of this tender is to put in place a support contract for CIT’s core infrastructure and core Microsoft services to provide level 3 support to the IT Services department of the college for situations where the internal IT staff cannot solve problems. The college’s virtualisation infrastructure is running on Cisco UCS Blade servers, Cisco Nexus networking, EMC VNX storage hardware and VMware vSphere version 5.5 hypervisor. The college network is made up of various Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ASA5550 firewalls, and Cisco WLC based wifi network. The core operating systems used in this infrastructures are Microsoft ones, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Microsoft Exchange 2010, Office 365. CIT currently has a wide area network supporting 3000+ computers. The College is connected to the HEAnet Network by two, recently upgraded, 10Gb/s circuits.
