Tender description

National Galleries of Scotland intend to redevelop the existing basement level Scottish Collection galleries and adjacent spaces within the Scottish National Gallery to triple the physical display space for Scottish Art, improve access and visitor circulation and improve the standard of visitor facilities, particularly in the Weston Link. The scope of works will therefore include the complete redevelopment of around 900 m2 of existing space and the creation of a 400 m2 new-build extension. The works will include forming new north and south stair/lift access from basement to first floor and reconfiguration of the existing Weston Link foyer. Finally it will also include improvements to access from and within Princes Street Gardens.
