Provision of a Support Service to Syrian Refugees

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council (BGCBC) in partnership with local statutory and third sector partners is participating in the Syrian Resettlement Programme (SRP). In participating in the SRP, it is anticipated that Blaenau Gwent will host a total of 4 families (approximately 5 persons per family), commencing early 2016. To assist in the provision of daily operational support of refugees, we are seeking to appoint a Service Provider to deliver ongoing case work and an advocacy function for refugees within the locality. This provision will provide (initially) daily generic support and primary orientation within the host communities, the Service Provider will support liaison between refugee(s) and community services and will encourage the resilience of Refugee families to fully integrate, participate and settle within their new communities.
