Tender description

Leicester City Council (the Authority) invites Tenders for the provision of an emergency food provision. The proposed Contract will be for five years with break clauses after each 12 month period. The emergency food provision in Leicester City is not currently co-ordinated under one partnership. Food Bank outlets are run by various charities across the City supported by their volunteers. Currently, the Authority provides its own city centre-based Emergency Food Bank working in partnership with their current supplier. This operates five days per week, Monday to Friday, from 1pm to 4:30pm, in Unit 20 Malcolm Arcade in the City Centre. The Authority requires that at (the same premise) a community food bank outlet is managed and operated. Tenders must be uploaded no later than12noon on Monday 11 April 2016 Keywords: foodbank, charity
