PBL manufacturers a life-saving product called Erwinase which is used to treat childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. The product saves over 50 lives in the UK and 2 000 lives globally per annum. Over recent years PBL has continued to invest in facility and additional resources to meet increased manufacturing demands and allow greater patient access to this essential drug. The Immuno Building 07 facility is used for the manufacturing of vaccine. The manufacturing suite is a clean-room maintained at negative pressure with monitored HVAC Systems and a hot room. The Support suite is a positively maintained clean-room with monitored HVAC Systems. All cold facilities are continuously monitored and alarmed. The classified areas consist of several positive and negative pressure grade C and D rooms including a hot room. Pressure monitoring is carried out in all of the rooms. The supplier is to provide the design, supply, installation, commissioning and validation of a system that monitors these conditions.
