Tender description

Highways England published a new and ambitious Supply Chain Strategy in September 2015. Implementation of this strategy will create new ways of operating and working with Highways Suppliers across the value chain investment areas and will transform relationships and put in place the right capability in order deliver world class performance. In implementing the supply chain strategy Highways England and Highways Suppliers are embarking on a joint programme of change in how we do business together. Setting up and embedding this new approach will include setting up new governance and accountability frameworks; setting up new processes, creating and embedding cultural change and defining and deploying a step change in capability to support delivery of Highways England's strategic outcomes. The Supply Chain Strategy Implementation Partner will provide skilled and experienced technical resources to Highways England to support the successful implementation of the new Supply Chain Strategy. This is a technical advisory and support role and will operate in an integrated manner with Highways England and under the direction of Highways England leadership. It is envisaged that this contract will be delivered in 3 phases i.e. a development, a capability deployment and an embedment phase. The Partner will provide a Core Team that will remain available to Highways England for the entire duration of the contract.
