CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION AND OPERATION OF A COMPOSTING FACILITY AND ASSOCIATED SERVICES

Tender description

This Contract is on behalf of Gateshead Council, South Tyneside Council and Sunderland City Council (the Authorities) who have formed the South Tyne & Wear Waste Management Partnership (STWWMP) and is for the Provision and Operation of a Composting Facility to receive and process collected Green Waste. The requirements of the service under this Contract are: • The provision of a Composting Facility to receive and compost Green Waste. • Dependant on the location of the Composting Facility a suitable supporting Delivery Point/s should be considered from which the Contractor will transfer the delivered material to the appropriate processing Facility. • The transfer of the composted materials to suitable merchants or end users. • The provision of a complete record of all materials delivered, the interim merchants/outlets and the ultimate destination of each material.
