Tender description

Manchester Airport Plc (MA), part of the Manchester Airports Group, wish to procure a Managed Service Provider in respect of their 10 year capital investment programme which aims to transform Manchester Airport (the Manchester Transformation Programme or MTP). It is intended that the MTP will position the airport as the ‘Northern Gateway’ and create a modern transport hub. The MTP includes, but is not limited to: Expansion of Terminal 2 building, 3 Nr new piers including air bridges, new stands and taxiway developments, new multi-storey and surface car parks (to primarily replace displaced parking due to apron redevelopment), and the relocation of existing facilities. MTP is aimed at delivering light, bright, modern facilities with the ability to accommodate future growth in line with the MTP. MA wishes to commission a Managed Service Provider who will have overall responsibility for the management and delivery of the MTP. Its role is to include: Programme and Project Management, Project Control and Programming, Quantity Surveying, Cost and Commercial Management, Contract Administration, Procurement and Contract Formation, Knowledge and Document Control, Programme Administration, Risk and Opportunity Management. The MSP may also be required to carry out Architecture and/or Multidisciplinary Engineering Services and such other services as may be required in order to facilitate the successful delivery of the MTP. The Managed Service Provider will be required to fully integrate and co-locate as appropriate with Manchester Airport's own internal project team. The Managed Service Provider will also work with MA's Design Team.
