Tender description

This project will deliver a new office pavilion, which will become the Scottish headquarters for Building Research Establishment Ltd (BRE) at the heart of Shawfield National Business District. The sustainable office will be an innovative demonstrator building providing 6 000sq ft with a target of BREEAM Outstanding. CGDL and BRE are requesting initial responses from a contractor led design team. CGDL will be the employer for purposes of this project and BRE Scotland has been identified as the building occupier. CGDL aim to deliver this project through a 2 stage Design and Build Contract, following a design competition at ITT stage. CGDL and BRE aim to achieve a distinctive, architecturally stimulating and innovative design solution which will be located at the foot of the new Smart Bridge, acting as the gateway to the Shawfield National Business District. The project will require exemplary execution of innovation, whilst reflecting BRE's ethos and Clyde Gateway's character and values.
