Tender description
Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council (The Council) are looking to commission Provider(s) to support the development of a Wellbeing Centre in the town centre for the duration of a 3 year contract. The Provider(s) will be required to: • Locate and provide (take on the lease where necessary) an accessible, central location (Wellbeing centre) for groups and activities which provide social, health and wellbeing benefits, primarily for adults. Groups at the centre may also require some reasonable storage facilities on site (not including valuables • Support the development of volunteering and coproduction opportunities associated with the activities of the centre. (E.g. run drop in sessions, reception, wellbeing activities, marketing, peer support etc) • Manage the centre to run safely and effectively with flexible but reasonable opening hours, at least 5 days per week enabling some activities to take place outside office hours. • Recruit, manage and support volunteering in the centre. • Develop a fair system of governance and inclusion so that people using the centre have a voice, actively support coproduction principles. • Develop and keep updated a simple marketing strategy and coproduce, for example, downloadable leaflet, webpage, social media etc. The aims of the strategy being to promote the centre and activities to both potential new groups and people who may particularly benefit from the centre – e.g. those who are potentially lacking networks, support, feeling isolated or lonely. • Work with people and groups using the centre to support development of a sustainability plan to support longevity and growth beyond the 3 years funding. • Actively seek to engage peers and volunteers, understand of gaps and assets and contribute to the development of community capacity within the borough. • The centre will primarily support Adult residents in the borough of Stockport, but it may also support carers who live elsewhere but support Stockport residents Keywords: Management, Wellbeing, Stockport, Volunteers
