Tender description

Bury Council is inviting tenders for the above project. The award of the tender will be based upon price and the contractor meeting the following criteria as set out in the Appendix A of the Contractor Questionnaire (Document P). Please note that a contractor questionnaire must be completed and returned with your tender. For a contractor to be successfully appointed, they must first meet the following minimum criteria: The Contractor’s head office / local base must be located to enable emergency site attendance within 60 minutes of request Total turnover of the Contractor over the last two years must exceed £75,000.00 (where a contractor does not meet the required turnover, the contractor is to demonstrate their suitability to carry out the proposed scheme by listing all similar projects successfully completed in the last two years). The Contractor must provide details of three recent projects successfully completed, all must exceed £75,000 in value, with at least two public sector clients included. Satisfactory references will also be required from the referees named. Experience of managing the general public in large numbers adjacent the works will also be required. The Contractor must be able to evidence an acceptable environmental policy The Contractor must be a member of the health & safety umbrella organisation “Safety Schemes In Procurement” (SSIP) eg CHAS The contractor must carry employer’s and public liability insurance of a minimum £5m Keywords: Roofing
