Asbestos Treatment and Removal Works 1 contractor to be appointed to undertake the following activities: — The planned encapsulation of slightly damaged asbestos installations or asbestos which is likely to receive slight surface disturbance in the future. — The planned removal of asbestos containing materials either in poor condition and presenting a significant risk, or is likely to be affected by planned maintenance, refurbishment or demolition works. — The provision of an emergency response following the unplanned release or discovery of asbestos containing materials to include removal of ACM, decontamination/clean up of affected areas and air testing. — Advice and training. — Air monitoring reassurance test as part of the contract (Optional). — Provision of reports and risk assessments as necessary. — Liaise and work with the Group Member Organisations (GMO) appointed asbestos consultant as necessary. — Liaise and work with GMO appointed domestic contractors as necessary. — Liaise and work with GMO tenants via email, letter or face to face as necessary.
