Logging and Transcription Services — The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) requires a logging and transcription service for the Fitness to Practise (FtP) and Registration Appeal hearings that hear evidence relating to allegations about individual registrants fitness to practise. Each of these panels or meetings may require a verbatim transcript to be produced for future use relating to the case, and in any challenges to decisions made. The duration of the contract will be 36 months form the award of contract with the option to extend by a further 24 months in 12 month increments, subject to excellent performance and the NMC's approval. Suppliers wanting to express an interest in participating in the tender process must hold ISO 9001 accreditation or be working towards accreditation. The NMC is intending though this procurement to enter into contracts with up to 3 providers which shall together constitute its internal framework for the provision of transcription services. The NMC will not commit to any minimum spend with each provider.
