One Site Design & Build Extension to Penrith Town Hall

Eden District Council is seeking quotes for the design & build for an extension to Penrith Town Hall. It is proposed to construct an extension to the Town Hall to accommodate existing functions on the Town Hall site together with those currently delivered from the Council’s Mansion House offices. The three storey extension will be built using traditional form and materials at the side of the Town Hall on a south-west to north-east axis. The proposed extension will be separated from the south-east facing (side) elevation of the Town Hall but will be physically connected to the existing building with a largely transparent two storey glazed link: additionally the frontage of the extension will be set approximately 6 metres behind the Town Hall frontage. The Council has been granted both planning and listed building consent for the construction of this three storey linked extension. Keywords: Design, Build, Construct, Extension
