Insight is a web-based business process management system developed for Public Health England, an executive agency of the Department of Health. A bespoke suite of applications manages all aspects of the commercial pipeline, from enquiry processing and bidding for work through to contract negotiation and onward to service delivery. A graphical reporting system summarises key business metrics. The system also manages training course bookings and software purchases via an integrated ecommerce solution. A strong focus on the user experience from the outset has meant that Insight is simple to use with very little staff training required that has been invaluable at a time when resource levels have become challenging.
