HIV Treatment Services for Herefordshire, Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire (NHS England)

Tender description

NHS Arden & GEM CSU is conducting this procurement exercise for the provision of specialised HIV Care and Treatment Services for adults provided from (Lot 1) Herefordshire, (Lot 2) Telford & Wrekin, and (Lot3) Shropshire as agent for and on behalf of NHS England Specialised Commissioning – Midlands and East. This will be a 3 year contract with the option to extend for a further year and one additional subsequent year. This service is to be provided in accordance with the NHS England national specification, which can be accessed at https://www.england.nhs.uk/commissioning/spec-services/npc-crg/blood-and-infection-group-f/f03/ and identifies the requirements to deliver specialist assessment and ongoing management of patients diagnosed with HIV infection and associated conditions. This is an outpatient based service which includes the provision of specialist pharmacy services for prescribing and management of patients on antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) and forms an integral part of a care pathway which includes services beyond the scope of the Service Specification commissioned locally by other providers / agencies as part of wider network arrangements.
