Tender description

Ewart House is Harrow Council's first modern Extra Care Sheltered Housing Scheme and first care service contract, provided by funding from Adult Social Care Services working alongside a housing related support service commissioned separately by the Supporting People Programme. This specification is for the care element of the Extra Care Sheltered Scheme which is to be of a core/flexi model and will support vulnerable older people living in their own homes in a purpose built building to maintain and develop their independent living skills, through provision of appropriate care. The Council intends to award one contract for the care service. We expect the Care Provider to work closely and innovatively with the housing support provider and Landlord — Harrow Churches Housing Association (HCHA) to enable a seamless service. The Care Provider is to provide a service Monday to Sunday inclusive (including all national bank holidays) at the times specified by individuals relative to their support planning order to meet Service Users' requirements. In addition to individual's support requirements care hours, access to a 24-hour on-site service will be required.
