Tender description

1. Description The requirement is for the supply and delivery of Rock to Slaughden Beach at Aldeburgh Suffolk (Nearest post code: IP15 5NA; Grid Ref: TM 46369 55205); 2. Quantities The following quantities of rock are to be delivered (specification and details below): — 5 000 t of 3-6t sized rock armour; 3. Delivery Constraints The following constraints apply to the delivery of Rock; 3.1. Rock delivery will be December 2015, float may be available in the program to cater for delays but this should not be relied upon; 3.2. Delivery of 3-6t rock must come from the sea directly to the beach with no road delivery; 3.3. Beach delivery area currently has old redundant steel groynes in place. These will be removed by the Environment Agency (It is not required that this be undertaken by the supplier) a 3 week lead in time is required to complete this before deliveries can be commenced; 4. Additional Suppler Provisions: Supplier will provide ; 4.1. All surveys required for transshipment and delivery to beach; 4.2. Any buoys, markers or similar for supply and other; 4.3. Any off shore safety requirement as needed.
