Framework of Providers, Specialist Services for Disabled Children, Young People and their Families

A key priority for Derbyshire’s Children’s Trust is to support disabled children, young people and their families to access the services they need, and to promote choice, quality and value for money. We also want to help disabled young people to make a smooth transition into adult life. Providers are being invited to apply for Framework Agreements to deliver specialised services for disabled children and young people. The list of Framework providers will be made available to schools, Multi-Agency Teams, Social Care and other agencies within the Derbyshire Children’s Trust who may use it to spot-purchase provision on behalf of young people or families. The overall value of the Framework is expected to be within the region of four million pounds over the full four year period. The services that will be delivered via the Framework include: Lot A Flexible one-to-one support Lot B Overnight short breaks – standard Lot C Overnight short breaks – complex needs Lot D Group activities Lot E Specialist sitting/childcare Lot F Structured positive activities Lot G Home Care services Lot H Support Planning & Brokerage Successful applicants will also be included on a ‘register’ that will be made available to families who wish to buy services with their own money, with Direct Payments or with Personal Budgets. The Children’s Trust is inviting applications to deliver services for children and younger adults aged between 0 and 25. This is intended to support transition, by enabling services for young people and families to continue into early adulthood where this will help young people to achieve the best possible outcomes.
