Provision of Quantity Surveying and Construction Design Management Co-ordinator Services (CDMC) Richmondshire District Council wishes to tender for the Provision of Quantity Surveying Services for its Capital Development Programme, currently mainly engaged in improving the Council’s housing stock (1620 dwellings) beyond Decent Homes standard requirements. Richmondshire District Council will aim to allocate projects based upon the tendered Contract Agreement. It is the intention to appoint a single supplier that offers the most economically advantageous tender the whole of any works carried out under the Housing Improvement Programme and any other Capital Schemes under taken by the Authority. Richmondshire District Council currently has a housing stock of approximately 1620 dwellings ranging in terms of types and standards. Tenderers should note that not all of the Council’s housing stock are located within the central Richmond area. Richmond District is a rural area therefore road network limitations can present significant access problems and travel times. Tenderers are strongly advised to visit Richmond District and familiarise themselves with the building stock and the geographical distribution of the District, so that the level of fee quoted in the tender is sufficient for the diverse portfolio. The successful tenderers will enter into a 60 months agreement with a possible 2 x 12 month extension which is at the Councils discretion. However the contract will contain a break clause allowing for unforeseen circumstances. Richmondshire District Council reserves the right to accept none or one tenderer.
