Provision of Environmental Consultancy services at Waterstown Landfill, Palmerstown, Dublin 22

Tender description

South Dublin County Council wish to tender for Tier 2 Main Site Investigation and Tier 3 which will allow them to get more information for Refinement of Conceptual Site Model and Quantitative Risk Assessment for this site. This Main site investigation requires a number of activities such as trial pitting, borehole drilling, collection of samples for analysis and screening for Appropriate Assessment. The overall objectives of carrying out a site investigation at Waterstown Landfill are twofold: a) To confirm whether there are risks of landfill gas migration to bordering residential homes, and leachate migration to nearby surface water( River Liffey , Mill stream) and groundwater. b) To regularise the site by applying to EPA for the Certificate of Authorisation in accordance with Waste Management ( Certification of Historic Unlicensed Waste Disposal and Recovery Activity ) Regulations 2008. Hence South Dublin County Council is inviting Tenders from suitably qualified consultants to provide services for Tier 2 main site investigation, Tier 3 Refinement of Conceptual Site Model(CSM) and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) ,Remediation plan (if required) and Reports.
