Tender description

The Photonic Systems Group (PSG) at Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork develops advanced fibre-optic communication technologies that will underpin future global communication systems and the Internet. As part of the periodic upgrade of its test and measurement facilities, PSG wishes to purchase a state-of-the-art, optical modulation analyser (OMA) that can interface with a multi- channel, Real-Time sampling Oscilloscope (RTO) for real-time high speed analysis of coherent (an non-coherent) optical signals. As a minimum requirement the OMA should support the capture and analysis of 30 Gbaud/sec signals.
