BIM, the Irish Sea Fisheries Board, is the state agency set up to promote the sustainable development of the Seafood Industry. BIM’s mission is to grow a thriving Irish seafood industry, expand the raw material base, add value and develop efficient supply chains that together deliver on the Government’s Food Harvest 2020 targets for seafood and create sustainable jobs. BIM employs approx. 120 personnel across its geographic base, with offices in Dun Laoghaire, Clonakilty, Castletownbere, Galway, Killybegs and Greencastle. BIM’s Training Colleges are based in both Castletownbere and Greencastle. BIM’s Seafood Development Centre (”SDC”) is based in Clonakilty, Co. Cork where it supports development and innovation in Irish seafood for both the domestic and international markets. BIM’s support for the Irish seafood sector is provided through its three customer facing division of Fisheries/Training, Aquaculture and Business Development & Innovation. The selected agency will work with BIM and its parent Department, Dept. of Agriculture, Food and the Marine in sourcing quality candidates for this challenging and exciting strategic position. BIM now invites tenders for an Executive Selection agency to assist BIM in the recruitment of a new CEO. A full specification of requirements may be found at Section 2 of this document.
