Tender description

'Norfolk County Council wishes to enter into a contract for the provision of residential and community family assessments. The service will: Make available 4 residential beds for the purpose of family assessment; Undertake around 30 residential assessments per year; Have in place a permanent, suitably qualified staffing establishment able to deliver safe robust assessments and where there is a night monitoring service for all assessments to be included in the contract price; Undertake community assessments as requested during periods of lower occupancy rates in the residential component of the service; Assist and support parents to acquire the skills, insight and capacity necessary for parenting, whilst building on existing strengths; Encourage parents to take responsibility for their children and their own lives so that they will be able to live independently in the community, whilst identifying the support which would be necessary to enable them to do this; Support parents in the event of removal of children due to safeguarding concerns within the context of the assessment; Assess capacity and application of parenting skills (whilst building on existing strengths) in a residential or community setting.'
