Tender description

'South Kilburn decentralised energy system. South Kilburn is situated in the south east corner of the London Borough of Brent (LBB), bordering on the London Boroughs of Camden and Westminster. Various sites within South Kilburn are in the process of being redeveloped in phases as part of a massive regeneration programme. The masterplan for the area includes over 2 000 new homes, a new school, a healthy living centre and new commercial units that will be built in the area. The regeneration area will have a high proportion of new build, medium rise social housing blocks and as such is well suited to a heat network. The London Borough of Brent is procuring the services of an energy service company to finance, design, build, manage and maintain a decentralised energy system which will provide low cost, low carbon heat to the new residential and non-residential units for a period of 40 years.
