Tender description

Roscommon Fire Service currently have 6 No. Jeeps that attend Road Traffic Collisions and other Road Based Incidents. It is proposed to have these vehicles fitted with VMS signs to warn approaching traffic and provide scene safety. All the vehicles are either crew cab or single cab, fitted with a covered canopy at the rear. It is envisaged that the VMS will be installed on the roof of each vehicle until required. When activated (via a handset), it should rise up proud of the cab and display its message. At the end of the incident, the handset should be capable of shutting down the sign and returning it to the stowed position. Alternative proposals will be considered.
