Supply of care, accommodation for children and young people

Tender description

Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council are jointly tendering for the supply of children’s residential care, enabling increased local placement capacity and greater choice for looked after children and young people, by commissioning “block contracts” for a set number of children’s residential care placements. Both Councils are pursuing the same objectives, therefore have decided to approach the market jointly. There will be separate contracts and placement matching processes for each local authority. Lot 1: Nottinghamshire County Council are seeking to contract with two Providers, each to provide a minimum of twelve placements. No less than twenty of these placements will be within the County boundaries, with at least half of the provision in the North of the County (Mansfield, Ashfield and Bassetlaw Districts). Lot 2: Nottingham City Council are seeking to contract with two Providers, each to provide a minimum of ten placements. The placements must be within a twenty mile radius of Nottingham City Centre (measured from NG1 2BN), with at least half of these within the Greater Nottingham area Lot 3: Combined Bid The Contracting Authorities do not wish to put unsustainable pressure on the local supply market.
