North Portsea Island CFERM Scheme – Phase 2: Milton Common and Great Salterns Quay

Tender description

Portsmouth City Council is inviting tenders from suitably qualified civil engineering construction contractors with coastal experience to tender for this project. The works subject to this procurement comprise of Phase 2 of the wider North Portsea Island Coastal Defence Scheme. Phase 2 of the scheme is to be undertaken during the summer of 2016 and generally comprise of the construction of a new erosion control rock revetment along the coastal frontage of Milton Common, three flood bunds set back in Milton Common, the demolition and removal of Great Salterns Quay and ancillary works. The total estimated value of this contract is £2,000,000. The Authority is inviting tenderers to attend a site visit on 27th January 2016 and final submission of tenders by 22nd February 2016, with a prior clarification deadline date of 8th February 2016. The Authority is targeting to have awarded the contract by 18th March 2016 with a subsequent commencement and access date of 4th April 2016.
