Tender description

Norwich City Council requires the services of a consultant. The consultant will be required to provide an engineering design service to assess the feasibility, options and subsequently provide the detailed design for the construction of a bridge and bridge abutments with a design working life of 120 years and a service life of 25 plus years across the River Yare at Colney (co-ordinates 61796 307960). The consultant will also be required to undertake a flood risk assessment (FRA). The detailed plans and FRA will form part of a planning application to be submitted April 2016. The construction of the bridge would follow on from the planning permissions and any necessary site clearance work. The timing of the construction project is initially programmed for late summer early autumn 2016 but may, due to various constraints be summer /autumn 2017.
