Development of the Public Water Forum Website

Tender description

The Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) is Ireland’s independent energy and water regulator. The CER was established in 1999 and now has a wide range of economic, customer protection and safety responsibilities in energy. The CER is also the regulator of Ireland’s public water and wastewater system. The Water Services Act 2014 states that the Commission shall establish a customer consultative forum, to be known as the Public Water Forum. The primary purpose of the Forum is to represent the interests of domestic water consumers and a variety of sectoral organisations. Under Section 7(6) of the Water Services Act 2014, the Commission is charged with providing the Forum with such administrative services, including technical advice, as it requires in discharging its functions. As an independent body, it is essential that the Forum have its own website and identity. In its role of providing support to the Forum, the CER wishes to engage a service provider for the development and maintenance of a website for the Public Water Forum.The contract will be awarded for a maximum period of five (5) years, subject to annual review.
