Community Diagnostic Services for Oxfordshire CCG

The following notice is a PIN notice only and is being placed to alert providers of a potential up-coming procurement exercise. Any values and timescales stated within this PIN notice are for guideline purposes only and should not be taken as a guarantee. Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (“CCG”) is considering its options for commissioning Community Diagnostic Services (specifically non-obstetric ultrasound and endoscopies). These services could potentially be delivered by a single provider or multiple providers however, any potential providers interested in delivering the services should be able to deliver to the whole of Oxfordshire rather than a part of it. Should you wish to express interest, please indicate your preference to the above, where your organisation is currently situated and/or where your organisation would intend to provide the service from. The non-obstetric ultrasound service will provide GPs with direct access and may include the following: • Upper Abdomen Ultrasound Scans, • Testicular Ultrasound Scans, • Renal Tract Ultrasound Scans, • Pelvic Ultrasound Scans (including both Trans abdominal and Trans vaginal Scans) The endoscopy service will provide GPs with direct access and may include the following: • Diagnostic Colonoscopy 19 years and over • Diagnostic Colonoscopy with biopsy 19 years and over • Therapeutic Colonoscopy 19 years and over • Diagnostic Flexible Sigmoidoscopy 19 years and over • Diagnostic Flexible Sigmoidoscopy with biopsy 19 years and over • Therapeutic Flexible Sigmoidoscopy 19 years and over • Diagnostic Endoscopic Procedures on the Upper GI Tract 19 years and over • Diagnostic Endoscopic Procedures on the Upper GI Tract with biopsy 19 years and over • Combined Upper and Lower GI Tract Diagnostic Endoscopic Procedures • Combined Upper and Lower GI Tract Diagnostic Endoscopic Procedures with biopsy • Combined Upper and Lower GI Tract Therapeutic Endoscopic Procedures Currently the contract value stands at £588,640 per annum for endoscopy and £392,350 for non-obstetric ultrasound. Both services are to be provided across Oxfordshire with bases in each of the following locality areas; North, North East, South East, South West and West Localities and Oxford City.
