Tender description

Swale Borough Council is inviting Expressions of Interest to tender for the Swale Borough Council – Tree Survey to Swale Borough Council’s Offices located at Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne ME10 3HT. The contract will commence on 19th February 2016 and will terminate on 31st May 2016. There is a potential three month contract extension period if required and instigated by the Borough Council. The contract is to provide Swale Borough Council with an up to date condition survey of the trees within its Parks, Open Spaces, Country Parks, Community Woodlands and Closed Churchyards. The survey will identify the trees; the works required; and an indicative total cost for the works which will be commissioned as a separate piece of work outside of this tender. This is the first time the Council has plotted and surveyed its tree stock. We are therefore looking for a complete database of all trees which captures the following information as the main outputs of this tendering exercise: • Species • Size (height/spread) • Potential impact area • Potential for root disturbance/damage • GPS Location • Reference number • Indicative age • Overall condition • Detailed condition for trees exhibiting potential defects/health issues • Priority for attention You will need to register, login and express your Interest on the Kent Business Portal. Invitation to Tender, (ITT) will be sent by email with a link.
