Short Breaks for Children who are Disabled and/or have Complex Health Needs

Tender description

We are looking to run a tender to form six (6) frameworks of preferred providers. The frameworks will be split into the following categories, offering children and young people a diverse range of breaks. Category 1 - Specialist Overnight Residential Short Breaks (though out Dorset) Category 2 - Specialist Saturday, after school and holiday Short Break sessions in Weymouth Category 3 - Specialist Saturday, after school and holiday Short Breaks sessions throughout Dorset (excluding Weymouth) Category 4 - Sessional service (at home or in the community) throughout Dorset, including befriending, buddy and PA services Category 5 - After school, weekend and holiday play, sport and activity sessions for all age groups, throughout Dorset Category 6 - Activity day and evening sessions for young people aged 15 – 18 years old throughout Dorset. Service from all Providers successfully placed on Framework Categories 1 – 3 will be called off the framework when a referral is made by Dorset County Council Social Care Teams, in line with the Children and Young peoples care plans. Service is only available to Children and Young People who have been assessed by the Social Care Team and meet the threshold to receive this level of support. All Providers successfully placed on the Framework Categories 4 – 6 will be open to a mini competition, at the start of the financial year to allocate funds and define support for that year. Providers need to apply for each Category they are interested in and each Category/Lot will be evaluated independently.
