Cheshire East Borough Council provides home adaptations and equipment in its discharge of its statutory duties to meet the needs of disabled people. Stair lifts, vertical lifts, step lifts, ceiling track hoists and gantry hoists are some of the solutions provided by the Council to enable a safe means of access into and around the home and for safe moving and handling. To safeguard the users of the equipment and to prolong the equipment’s useful life, the Council has a requirement for the following tasks: Scheduled servicing of equipment; Responsive repairs and maintenance of equipment; Removal, refurbishment, storage and reinstallation of equipment; and Decommissioning of equipment.
