Invitation to Tender for a Café Concession and Catering Services in the National Library of Ireland

Tender description

The National Library of Ireland (NLI) is located on Dublin’s Kildare Street beside the Houses of the Oireachtas. In addition to researchers consulting NLI collections, the NLI has an active events and exhibition programme and is an established visitor attraction in the centre of Dublin’s cultural tourism district. In 2014, the NLI’s Kildare Street reading rooms and exhibitions attracted more than 270,000 people. Café Joly, which is located adjacent to the Library’s main hall on the ground floor, is a key element of the NLI’s offering for visitors. Open to the public and staff, it has an internal seating capacity of 60, and additional seating and tables are placed outside during the summer months, with a capacity of 25. The café concession is currently operated by 628 Food. As the concession period is coming to an end on 31 October 2015, the NLI is seeking tenders for the next concession period, which will ensure that the café continues to be a highly attractive destination in its own right and remains an integral part of the visitor experience.
