Eastern Region Foster Care Rolling Select List

Tender description

Providers are invited to participate in the Eastern Region Foster Care Rolling Select List. Collectively the annual spend across the four participating authorities for the provision of foster care with external providers is £38m per annum. We are inviting providers to express an interest for inclusion on the Rolling Select Lists for the provision of foster care for children and young people (including parent and child placements) in the following four Eastern Region Authorities:- • Cambridgeshire County Council • Essex County Council • Suffolk County Council • Thurrock Council The Rolling Select Lists in each participating council have been established from the 1st October 2013 (and for Essex 21/11/2013), for a period of 4 years, until 30th September 2017, with the option to extend the agreement for a further period of up to 15 months. The select lists are organised into three tiers of providers following an evaluation of quality and price. Placement matching to meet referrals will be undertaken with providers in the uppermost tier initially and if there is not an appropriate placement, then requested from the second and then third tier respectively. The Rolling Select Lists were reviewed after a period of 6 months, on the 1st April 2014, and will be reviewed annually thereafter – this review point is the 1 April 2016. New entrants will have the opportunity to join the Rolling Select List at these review points when the provider tiers will be re-evaluated. This online process is being conducted to invite new entrants to the Select List and to review the tiering of Rolling Select List providers.
