CPU 1693 service provision of Processing of Municipal Waste and Dry Recycling

Tender description

Tenders are invited for the supply of services in respect of treatment / processing of various municipal waste streams. The Council encourages tenderers to submit bids for all requested materials (one or more lots) in the quantities outlined in the tender document. The Council intends to award a contract to one or more tenderers who demonstrate their capabilities in handling these waste streams and in the potential quantities outlined. The different waste streams are divided into 3 Lots to differentiate between the particular requirements of each. Lot 1: Dry Recyclable Materials. Lot 2: Rubble/Inert/Soil Lot 3: Residual Waste Streams. Tenderers are invited to bid for one or more lots. Successful tenderers may be awarded one or more Lots. There is no guarantee of all or any work, but individual orders will be placed by the Council to the successful tenderer(s) as required. It is expected that the contract duration will be for 2 years. With a possible extension of 3 periods of 12 months at the council's discretion. The Council requires Reception facilities to be located within 3.5 (three and a half) miles of Eastcroft depot in order that front line service operations are not unduly inconvenienced with excessive travel time. Our route/round structures are such that travel beyond this distance would potentially increase operational costs and be impracticable to delivery. Keywords: waste recycling
