Tender description

This procurement is to commission a Countywide Reablement Service. The Reablement Service forms part of the intermediate care service which is a range of integrated services, and supports the promotion of independence and faster recovery from illness. The Service aims to prevent unnecessary acute hospital admission, premature admission to residential care, support timely discharge from hospital, to minimise, delay or avoid the need for long term domiciliary supports and to maximise independent living. Due to recent capacity issues it is deemed necessary to increase the number of providers, ensuring referral demand is met. The Reablement services will be tendered in the following Lots and the proposed contract will be on a block purchase arrangement as follows 1. Lancaster 2. Fylde and Wyre 3. Pendle and Ribble Valley 4. Burnley, Hyndburn and Rossendale 5. Chorley, South Ribble and Preston 6. West Lancashire Bidders can bid for any or all lots, one bidder per lot will be awarded a contract. A bidder can be successfully in more than one lot. The block contract guarantees payment for the above volume of hours with the successful service providers. LCC requires bidders to have a CQC registration is in place for the regulated activity of Personal Care. Please note that this procurement process is being conducted on an expedited basis in response to an urgent requirement to improve availability of services to vulnerable service users.
