Arun District Council - Consultancy and Design Services for Littlehampton Public Realm Projects

Tender description

To provide clearer directional information for people visiting the town a Wayfinding Plan was produced in 2014 for Littlehampton with the intention of improving the visitors experience and interconnect pedestrian movement through directional signage. Monolith signs were then installed in 2015 to offer a navigational route through the Town Centre to the Seafront and Riverside. The next stage for Arun District Council to consider was the most practical methods for enhancing the town’s pedestrian connectivity. A piece of work was then commissioned which was titled the ‘9 Big Ideas for Littlehampton’. This document presented solutions to how the Town Centre, Seafront and Riverside should connect more fluidly and to improve the overall pedestrian experience. Detailed design plans are now required to develop conceptual ideas to meaningful and detailed design plans. The Employer is seeking to appoint Consultancy services which can demonstrate an innovative approach to quality design with expertise in urban landscaping, public realm, waterfront and Town Centre Regeneration. The work will include the production of high quality design plans that offer creative solution for interconnecting Littlehampton Town Centre, the seafront and riverside through a pedestrian route.
