Security - Key Holding, Response and Manned Guarding at various English Heritage sites

Tender description

The English Heritage Trust is a charity that manages 412 historic properties. These properties represent a precious collection of physical remains from a long span of England’s history. Ancient Monuments are protected in law, and it is a criminal offence to willfully damage them. Many of the properties are ruins, and are therefore fragile by their very nature. Many are also unmanned and in rural locations, with obvious implications for security. Others within towns and cities have different security issues. Houses with extremely valuable collections present high security risks. English Heritage is seeking tenders to provide both a Key Holding & Response service at some sites and a Manned Guarding service at some sites. The tender consists of 9 regional lots; North, South East, West, and London & East for the Key Holding & Response; and North, South East, West, London & East and Stonehenge for the Manned Guarding. Tenderers may bid for one or more lots. The contract will be for 3 years commencing 1st April 2016. There will be the option to extend the contract for two further one year periods.
