Tender description

PHE site based at Chilton in Oxfordshire requires a specialist ultrasound system for mice. The system needs to be a very flexible general system that is quite adaptable, but useable without too much expertise. The system will be used to expose a single pregnant mouse at one time. Exposure periods are for a maximum of 60 mins, but that is dependent on the animal welfare issues, not the equipment, we shall probably use shorter periods of exposure with repeated exposures. The equipment needs to meet “intensities and waveforms consistent with current medical practices”
