Derbyshire County Council wishes to appoint a single service provider for a Cafe/Bistro opportunity within the ground floor of Elvaston Castle (Elvaston Castle & Country Park). The Council's vision for the cafe is to secure an operator who can provide menus which reflect 'traditional' Derbyshire food, promote healthy options and incorporate local produce, in conjunction with an exploration of new ideas, which will be key in giving Elvaston Castle a distinctive flavour for tourists. The size of the kitchen is most likely to suit those wishing to provide hot and cold drinks, 'home-baked' cakes and light hot and cold foods such as baked potatoes, soup and sandwiches, although there is an opportunity to be creative and innovative.
