Tender description

A requirement has arisen to procure a versatile measurement system which can be used to measure and scan a wide range of items made from different materials. Typically, the range of shapes likely to be encountered will be largely driven by research project requirements and likely to range from traditional geometric engineering components to items with complex three dimensional profiles. In terms of materials, the equipment will be required to accommodate a wide range which is likely to include; metals, composites, concrete, plastics, elastomers and foam. The lowest value has been declared at £25,000 but the University does not know at this stage what the actual value might be.
