Tender description

Louth County Council acting as Project Executive for the Department of Education and Skills (DES) wish to appoint a competent and experienced building contractor with mechanical and electrical works capacity and experience to construct and complete all necessary works to deliver on programme a Post Primary School located at Ballymakenny Road Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland. The works are for an approx. 9,900 sq.m, primarily three storey, Post Primary School and all ancillary works on a campus site of approx. 4.3 hectares. The site is shared with a two storey Primary School to remain in safe operation throughout the duration of the works. The site for contractor' works has existing car parking for 92 cars, set down for 13 cars and 1 bus and full boundary railings to the west along the Ballymakenny Road. The area of the contractor’s works site is approx. 3.25 hectares. Site works will include extension of the existing set down area, complete wearing course of approx. half of the existing car park, extension of the car parking for an additional 24-30 spaces and the building of 6 new hard play areas a sports field, ESB sub station and an access road for deliveries to Construction Rooms. Off-site works include the extension of the existing outbound cycle lane on the western side of Ballymakenny Road, provide a new toucan crossing on the Ballymakenny Road, recess the existing in-bound entrance gates and provide additional boundary enclosures to secure all remaining open boundaries to the south and west of the site
