Tender description

Dublin City Council proposes to award a contract for the supply and fit of hand knotted oriental-style carpets for the Dining Room and Drawing Room in The Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2. The Mansion House is the official residence of Dublin’s first citizen, the Lord Mayor, and one of the city’s finest and most loved buildings. It has been at the heart of city government since 1715. The new carpets are part of general improvements being carried out to the public rooms in the house. The carpets are being specially commissioned to complement the quality of the historic interiors. Design standards and criteria are set down for each carpet to suit the decoration of each room following detailed research over the past three years.
