Tender description
The Legal Aid Board was established under the Civil Legal Aid Act, 1995. The Act makes provision for the granting by the State of legal aid and advice to persons of insufficient means in civil cases. The Refugee Documentation Centre (RDC) is an independent library and research service under the aegis of the Legal Aid Board and was established in 2000 as an independent unit providing Country of Origin Information (COI) services to the agencies involved in the asylum process. The RDC is part of a larger unit within the Board known as the Research and Information Unit (RIU). The RIU is an integrated Library and Research Service comprising the Refugee Documentation Centre, the Legal Aid Board Library and other information activities supporting the work of the Board and agencies of the Department of Justice and Equality (DJE). The County Of Origin Information (COI) Portal project is owned by the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) and aimed at the creation of a common point of reference for asylum officials from EU+ Countries . This action is co-financed by the European Commission and supported by the Office for the Promotion of Migrant Integration. Please note that the Legal Aid Board has charitable status and as such is entitled to any charitable discounts (or pricing structures) which are applicable. The Legal Aid Board invites tenders for: Design and implementation of Web Services to connect the RDC internal COI document repository to the EU Country of Origin (COI) Portal The document repository uses the SirsiDynix Portfolio platform.
