Staffordshire Refugee Integration and Independance Service

Tender description

The County Council invites tenders for the provision of a Refugee Integration and Independence service for Staffordshire, which delivers hope and optimism for eligible Service Users by: • integrating them into British Culture and the Staffordshire community, and • building their independence and self-reliance, so that they have the opportunity to prosper, be healthy and happy. Core service provision. The core service provision is to include: • Pre-arrival preparations, • Arrival: Welcome and collection from the point-of-disembarkation, • Reception and orientation, • Casework support service. Supplementary service provision. In addition, the Provider shall provide: • Community development projects to build a volunteer support network around each Syrian refugee (eg English language buddies, job mentors, drivers, faith groups etc), • A Syrian VP-specific job search and work programme, • Refugee / cultural awareness training for local stakeholders. The Staffordshire Refugee Integration and Independence Service is initially for 50 individuals, however potentially could be expanded to include further tranches of refugees by agreement with the Council. The potential contract value has been expanded to include this possibility, however only 50 refugees will be guaranteed to be supported under this contract. The initial 50 refugees will be supported for 12 months but may enter the scheme at any time in the first 6 months, the contract term reflects this. The contract value range includes the potential to deliver services to further tranches of refugees as and when required.
