Replacement and Maintenance of Communal District Heating Meters

Tender description

Hull City Council is seeking tenders to upgrade and to replace existing energy heat meters within Multi Storey Housing Blocks.  The successful provider will undertake the replacement exercise to 577 dwellings enabling remote energy monitoring and control. The new heat meters shall be of an ultrasonic type, which are compatible with tokenless Pre Payment Units.   The Service Provider will be required to set up a payment system for each dwelling. The Service Provider shall also establish an arrangement with Hull City Council to transfer the collected monies paid by tenants for energy supplied, to the Council. An administration charge for each dwelling shall be included by the Service Provider to allow for carrying out these functions.  Upon expiry of any equipment warranty following installation, the Service Provider shall provide a servicing and maintenance regime which shall continue to the end of the contract (ten years).
